We have recently been successful in winning a tender package to remove the old fittings and replace them with up-to-date, and energy-efficient fittings along the tunnels way walkway whilst also upgrading the emergency lighting too.
Working in such an iconic building that was commissioned by Henry the 8th in 1511 was a great building to get under our belt. The main thing with this project was running the galvanised containment around curved walls dating back to 1511. This was no easy task, but we are very happy with the results, and so was Portsmouth City Council. The tunnels will be open to the public going forward, so keep your eyes peeled if you have the opportunity to venture into the tunnels.
