What is this all about?

D Squared have been growing for the last 9 years. We plan on growing for the next 300+ years with all of your input! 

A lot has changed in the last 7 years, especially how many of you there are! 

This paperwork is a skeleton structure of the new D Squared Operational procedures. Over the next year we are working towards forming a polished booklet that operates as a guide to any new employees, as well as you guys on a daily basis. 

We are going to build this together, over meetings and reviews over the next year. 

We have put this together to show any of you can end up running the company, your own department or team of guys, or simply be an electrician that knows his trade comprehensively, working with a sense of pride day in day out.

Together we are building a future for us all within this business, but what do you want your future to look like?

Each day we as the bosses need to help steer the process to improve efficacy and profit margins for D Squared, and ensure longevity of the business. 

What we have realized is currently this starts at the top and works its way down to the apprentices, but we want to change this. We strive to ensure this bounces from the bottom back up to the top as we are all essential to the future of the company. 

We are all a part of the business. Think of D Squared a big circle, from the oldies to the newbies.

Why are you all so important to us?

D Squared has been grown year on year because of the efficiency and value for money we provide our clients. This is from the guys on site, to the service we provide from enquiry to completion. 

You are all the team, and the face of the company. 

Currently I know there is room for improvement as I myself have grown as a person this year, and with fresh eyes want to improve the company across the board. 

So to try and improve attitudes and agree on a joined vison for the future, we decided we want to achieve with this booklet. 

With your help we can ensure that every employee has a reliable job, with security and future opportunities to be involved in a fast growing business, that operates with at the core, that everyone is equally important. 

Nobody is above picking up a broom and sweeping the floors! 

Equally you all talk to clients so can have a great impact as the face of D Squared. 

This lays out what is excepted from you all, where your responsibilities start and finish, and how to grow within the business. 

This in turn will allow for a simpler paced job because each of us are considering the impact of our decisions to each other, and the best use of all our time. 

This is just the beginning. The first round. Once the basics work, and we are all pleased with the results, we will study, analyse and improve. This way we will produce a legacy business that out live us all. 


So what business are we in?

Most would say we are electricians; I would say we are problem solvers. Our clients rely on us to ensure their business can continue to do what they do best. What we do best is find and solve problems, and actively ensure the best solution for the problem.
